Level 2 is so HOT!

So, we're continuing to work on some style updates, as well as add some more detailed 'trim' to the site. The most noticeable is the new homepage. We want to let people get straight to their local happy hour info as soon as possible, and not make them wait for our Portland map to load. All of this is experimental, but we think it will serve the most people in the greater good sort of way. Let us know what you think, and what we can do to keep improving.
We're also refining the style more and more. We also hired some midgets and tucked them away in a closet with 8-core Mac Pros and 30" monitors while we have them working hard at design, which we hope will start to manifest itself soon in those small crevices of the site (hey, just because we have slave labor, doesn't mean we don't give them tasty tools to use). It's the type of thing that helps you tell a BMW from Kia, so be on the lookout, and be merciful AND merciless in your comments. We want to know.
Finally. WE CAN HAS IPHONES! So, of course, we made an iPhone specific version of the site for ourselves and those of you lucky enough to talk your wives into letting you get one. You can check it out at level2.unthirsty.com/iphone/. It will continue to evolve as well, and will soon be open to the general public. Feel free to comment about it, too.
Alright, enough chitter chatter, get back to entering happy hours and making this the best site on the intarweb.

I used to really like the map on the homepage... but I think it's way better to get rid of it in Level2.
Not sure if the rest of the page needs to be taken up by blog posts, though. As much as *I* long for every word you write, I'm not everybody. Maybe that space would be better used to feature some happy hours and/or reviews.
And where are the ads? I like to click ads.

Yeah, I'm not 100% convinced that the blog posts need to take up so much room, however, for now we're really trying to get people's attention to the fact that there is a blog, as well as highlight some information. I'm sure the homepage will take on a few different layout incarnations in the next few months as we move from Level 2 to Level 2.3.2.22l.3.
Also, as we add new features (now hopefully more often), we'll be highlighting them there.
