Once a roofing company, this corner lot has been transformed into a hip hangout with retractable garage-door walls that open to an expansive back garden. The decor also includes mid-century chairs and a table made from a refurbished shuffleboard. Young rock-and-rollers, 30-something gay clientele and other groups mingle easily. Drinks include house-infused cocktails and blue collar beers like Olympia tall boys. The menu focuses on wallet-friendly snacks like quesadillas and sloppy joes.

Place is alright. Definitely seems to be the PDX-hipster version of a Pearl District bar. Come to be seen, gotta look your hipster best. And the service is almost always lackluster. Also, it appears as if the bar was added to Unthirsty by an Vnedetta-insider, as I know of nobody who actually describes bars like this. So take it with a grain of salt.

The gold standard for bars in north portland. Just plain awesome. Great patio, strong drinks, super staff, and shuffleboard. What a place.

Gold standard? Not sure I can agree with that.

Really cheap beer, cool patio, and shuffleboard: Those are rad. However, the service is borderline shitty.

Beer prices are great, the chow is better than quite a few bars I've been to. Patio and shuffleboard are cool, of course. The service is slow-ish, though, and the gender ratio is out of whack on occasion--lots of dudes, few ladies--which might bother some folks.

We went in the middle of the week, so we didn't have to deal with poor service, but the $1 PBR tall boys were a treat, and shuffleboard was a new flavor. Felt like I needed to kick some hipster ass though.

This place is one of my least favorite places. The help is arrogant and lack personality. It amazes me the buisness they receive with places like the welcoming Liberty Glass and the Kindly Waypost.
Come on N Portland explore and support kind folk.
